Chris Gurney is an Australian photographer whose work revolves around the narratives of people, places, sports and culture.
Born to a family of story tellers from India, Singapore and New Zealand; Chris’ work draws inspiration from the sporting world and surrounding natural environments.
Chris’ unique and distinctive style has developed through collaborating and capturing local and international subjects; from First Nations people on remote land and South Sudanese basketballers in urban Perth, to pro surfers on the waves of Mentawai Islands.
His work has been featured in Victory Journal, Cereal and Atmos, and his clients include Nike, On Running, Asics, Yonex, Virgin Australia and Commonwealth Bank.
