For Chloe Aftel, the challenge of creating images is found in making a fresh and invigorating story that connects the audience to the subject.
The photographer and filmmaker graduated from U.S.C. with a Master of Fine Arts in film production and she was named Fuji Student Photographer of the Year and one of PDN's 30 Under 30. Her pieces have also been recognized by American Photo, the International Photography Awards, and others.
Clients like Levi's, the Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, Vogue Italia, Google, MasterCard, Motorola, Goodby, and Nintendo approach Aftel for her technical aptitude and emotional I.Q. She thrives on what her collaborators bring to the table. She learned to shoot on film and uses her love of it to develop post-production techniques for digital that enhance the colors, depth, and vitality of images.
Aftel is Los Angeles-based, and works as a local in New York, Detroit, Portland, and San Francisco.
